Kororo Public School has a well equipped library catering for the needs
of all children in the school. Children have set library lessons each
week as well as being able to use the library at other times during the
week for private research and study. Our aim is to encourage reading
for pleasure and we have a wonderful range of books suited to the
reading abilities and interest of this age group.
The Library is open Monday to Thursday at 8.40am, first half of lunch
and after school. Children are encouraged to borrow books at these
times as well as during their regular library times.
We ask that children have a bag clearly labelled with their names and
class in order to protect the books. We encourage children to place
their books in a plastic bag which can then be placed in their cloth
library bag. It is easier for younger children to keep track of their
books if they are labelled library bags. The library keeps a supply of
plastic bags for children to use. Donations of clear plastic bags are
always welcome.
Library bags with Kororo School printed on them are for sale in the Library for $3.50.

We hold a Book Fair to coincide with Public Education
Week. A percentage of the proceeds of the bookfair will be used to
buy new resources for our library.
